You are holding the final issue of Polykum for this semester in your hands. Much has changed behind the scenes since you last received our magazine. As the summer break approaches, I am confident that you will discover a refreshed Polykum at the beginning of the coming autumn semester.
A few weeks ago, a new committee board was formed to redefine Polykum after the magazine experienced greater financial losses than anticipated last year. During my time in VSETH, I participated in many discussions about how to improve the magazine. While these discussions often lacked concrete actions, I seized the opportunity to join the Polykum committee to help implement changes and turn words into actions.
But I need your help! Since I cannot read minds, it is crucial to receive your feedback. Whether you are an avid reader or occasionally pick up the magazine, please visit polykum.ch/feedback to share your thoughts and expectations of Polykum. Your input is priceless to us.
As this is my very first editorial, I asked friends for advice on what to write, and many suggested I discuss this issue’s theme. However, since this message is already lengthy, I will leave you with a quote from ETH alumnus Albert Einstein:
“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”
I hope we will prove to be intelligent by this definition in the coming months and wish you a relaxing summer break and the best of luck with your upcoming exams.
Best,
Lea
